Lisa joined QMPS in October of 2001 as the Spanish educator and translator. In this position she travels all over the state providing educational support to farms with Hispanic labor. Lisa usually helps the workers understand the “why’s” behind their work but also delves into topics calf care, farm safety, and other general management.

Lisa's education includes a BS in Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Maine and an MPS in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell.
Her Spanish training began as Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala. She lived there From ‘96-’98 working in the Integrated Pest Management Program. Guatemala is an amazing country full of culture and colors. Lisa had the opportunity to work with a women’s group teaching and facilitating courses on organic agriculture, integrated pest management, and medicinal plants. For her master’s research and to serve with the Crisis Corps, a program of the Peace Corps, Lisa went to Honduras to work with a dairy project. In this program she learned a quite a lot of Spanish dairy vocabulary.
